LeBron James Refuses To Stay Out Of The Headlines
LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated from playoff contention five days ago. The NBA Playoffs have continued to go on without him. Granted, this is a rarity. In fact, LeBron had never been eliminated in the first round. But sheesh, this guy cannot stay out of the headlines, despite being almost a week into his (early) summer vacation.
First up, a classic LeBron Instagram post, following the Lakers’ first round exit:
LeBron posted a clip that said “I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next.”
Clip is from ‘Gladiator’ the movie.

Of course, this followed the Lakers getting bounced by the Suns and many talking heads questioning if LeBron would ever win another title. So, somewhat of an expected clap-back out of #ThekidfromAkron. But just vintage LeBron. Most real basketball fans have not counted him out. Sure, his years are numbered, but he is still playing at a high level.
Then, a whole day later, LeBron sneaker news came out! The “LeBron 19” was unveiled as part of the Space Jam sequel dropping this summer.

Now today, James has announced he will be switching his jersey number from #23 to #6.

You almost have to respect it. The guy is the cause of Woj bombs and Shams bombs right smack in the middle of the playoffs. It truly speaks to his level of dominance, his ego, or likely both. We can only wonder what will be next!
